Play Well Africa in the news

@playwellafrica Instagram feed:

Just as it is important not to skip steps like crawling in physical development, it is important not to skip play, which allows for the development of a wide range of experiences, so that what is first grasped through action can later be learned anew through thought.
Let’s spread the L❤️VE!
Taking time to play together. Does it get any better than that. #playwell
How do you Play Well? Besides bringing learning toys that help develop the mind, you can’t really play well without proper nutrition and of course shoes. This year we collaborated with a local charity and outfitted the kids in new shoes, a nutritious lunch and also of course a pound of LEGO to take home.
We believe in the power of play, don’t you! It’s amazing to be back in Uganda for our fourth time, and giving kids new learning toys and seeing their joy is one of the best experiences. Help us continue to share the love of lego and learning around the world. Recycle your unused bricks, find all our donation options at PlayWellAfrica.ORG. #playwellearth
It’s National Lego Day! But since we’re in Uganda right now we’ll celebrate internationally. #playwell
“The plain fact is that the planet does not need more successful people. But it does desperately need more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of every kind. It needs people who live well in their places. It needs people of moral courage willing to join the fight to make the world habitable and humane. And these qualities have little to do with success as we have defined it.”
― David W. Orr
The new trendiest toy this holiday season is...TO GIVE! Kids helping kids will change the world. So encourage your LEGO LOVERS to learn more about Play Well Africa and how they can share their love with others less fortunate. www.PlayWellAfrica.org
